Paula Cho received her Bachelor of Music Degree from The Juilliard School and Masters of Music from Boston University. She served as principal violist of the Juilliard Symphony, Boston University Symphony, Jupiter Symphony, Tanglewood Festival Opera Orchestra, Brooklyn Opera, Queens Choral Society, Westchester Collegium Orchestra and DiCapo Opera. She gives performances in New York as a member of the Manhattan Chamber Orchestra, Antara Ensemble, Con vivo Chamber Ensemble, East Village Opera Company and Duncan Sheik. She has been on tour performing in Asia, Europe, South America, and Australia with the Verbier Festival Orchestra. An advocate of new music she collaborates with groups in premiering works and recordings including Wet Ink, Manhattan Chamber Orchestra, New York University, Downtown Chamber Players, Pulse, Lumieres, Anisocial Music, and the Bread and Puppet Theater Company. She participated in many music festivals such as Tanglewood, Yellowbarn, Verbier, Manchester, Encore, Kent/Blossom, Meadowmount, Provincetown Chamber Music Series, International Masterclasses in Bordeaux, American Institute of Musical Studies in Austria and Hampton Chamber music series. A prizewinner of American String Teachers Association NSO competition, she actively teaches in and around the New York area and is an invited member of national honor music society Pi Kappa Lambda.
